doua计时器 (the “App”) respects and protects your personal information and privacy. Based on the features currently provided, this Policy explains how information is handled, how permissions are used, and how you can manage your privacy choices. Please read and understand this Policy before using the App.
1. About the App
The App is a focus timer for study, work, reading, cooking, fitness, and similar activities. The current version does not provide account registration, sign-in, social interaction, user profiles, or personalized recommendations, and does not ask you to directly submit your name, phone number, identification documents, or similar identity information.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Timer and focus records. Your selected activity, timer duration, completion status, daily goal, focus note, history, and statistics are used to provide timer, history, and statistics features. This information is primarily stored on your device, and the App does not upload it to its own servers.
2.2 Local notification information. When you start a timer and grant notification permission, the App schedules a local notification on your device to remind you when the timer ends. The notification is scheduled by the operating system on the device and does not rely on a remote push notification server.
2.3 Device capability status. The App may use system vibration, haptic feedback, and wake-lock functionality to improve the timer experience. These capabilities are not used to identify you or collect personal information.
2.4 System diagnostics. The App does not create user profiles and does not actively collect device identifiers, IP addresses, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data. The operating system or runtime may generate crash or diagnostic information under its own rules; the App does not actively upload or use that information for advertising analytics.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide, operate, and maintain timer, history, statistics, daily goal, and note features;
- Schedule local reminders after you grant permission;
- Save app settings and improve app stability;
- Respond to your inquiries, feedback, or complaints; and
- Comply with applicable laws, legal proceedings, and regulatory requirements.
4. System Permissions and Their Purposes
- Notification permission: Used to show a local notification, play a notification sound, or display a badge when a timer ends. You may deny or disable this permission in system settings. The timer will remain available, but background reminders may not appear.
- Vibration permission: Used to provide vibration feedback when a timer ends and not to collect information.
- Wake-lock functionality: Used while a timer is running to help prevent the screen or device from sleeping too early. It does not read or upload your information.
5. Information Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not sell, rent, exchange, or otherwise provide your personal information to third parties. The current version does not contain advertising, an advertising SDK, remote analytics, account services, social sign-in, or other third-party data collection services, and does not upload your timer records, goals, notes, or statistics to a server.
The App uses operating-system capabilities for local notifications, vibration, and storage to provide its core features. We will not disclose your personal information unless you authorize it, disclosure is required by law, or disclosure is necessary to protect the legitimate rights and interests of users, the public, or the App.
6. Information Storage and Security
Timer records, goals, notes, statistics, and app settings are stored in the App’s data space on your device. You can delete related data by using the clear-history action in Settings, clearing the App’s data through system settings, or uninstalling the App.
We take reasonable technical and administrative measures to protect information processed by the App. However, electronic storage and device environments are not completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that data will never be lost or accessed without authorization.
7. Your Rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you may:
- View, modify, or delete App data stored on your device;
- Withdraw or disable notification, scheduling, vibration, and other permissions in system settings; and
- Contact us with questions or requests concerning privacy.
Because the current version primarily processes data locally, we generally cannot remotely access or restore timer records stored on your device.
8. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 4. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe the App has inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us below. After verification, we will take appropriate measures.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when the App’s features, applicable laws, or privacy practices change. Material changes will be indicated through an updated privacy policy page or another appropriate method. The updated Policy takes effect on the effective date shown on the page.
